Colchester is brimming with history and culture.

Colchester Castle offers the chance to learn about Colchester's history, Colchester Arts Centre is in an old converted church and the Mercury Theatre plays host to everything from Grease to Macbeth. In the town, there's a mixture of retro clothing shops, cafés for afternoon tea and old-school sweet shops. Colchester also hosts an array of bars and nightclubs in the centre of town, so whether you like a quiet drink by a fireplace with friends or prefer to dance the night away, you’re sure to find your perfect spot.

The Colchester campus is a short bus journey from the town centre or from the railway station, with trains to central London taking less than one hour – or take a bus journey to Brightling sea for a day at the beach.

London Stansted airport is nearby with connections across Europe, and coach services to Colchester or Southend.

The Southend campus is less than one hour by train to London, and also close to London Southend Airport with flights to Spain, France and more.
