The University of East Anglia (UEA) is a teaching and research institution with a campus located in 320 acres of parkland, two miles from the city centre of Norwich.

The campus has won more than 20 architectural awards, while there is also ongoing multi-million pound investment to enhance research and teaching facilities.

UEA’s motto is “do different” and it is known for its focus on interdisciplinarity across subjects. The university is also known for excelling in national surveys on the quality of student experience.

Research

In research, specialisms range from environment and responses to climate change, through to exploring issues of family and child policy, and to investigating competition and regulation.

UEA is a research intensive university and a leading member of Norwich Research Park, a concentration of researchers in environment, health and plant science. Location

Norwich is a bustling, historical city in East Anglia and lies approximately 100 miles north-east of London.

From the Middle Ages until the Industrial Revolution, Norwich was the largest city in England after London, and one of the most important. It provides the right mix between the bustle of a bigger city and the friendliness of a smaller town. Full of beautiful architecture, history, creativity, energy and culture, Norwich is a great place to live as a student. Norwich is one of only 11 cities in the world that has been awarded the UNESCO City of Literature title.
