The University of Dundee is an internationally recognised research university founded in 1881. The university was a constituent college of the University of St Andrews alongside United College and St Mary’s College, until 1967 when it became an independent body.
Since its independence, the university has grown to become an international high ranked university and recognised centre for research.

Location
The main campus of the university is located in Dundee’s West End which contains many of the university’s teaching and research facilities.
The city of Dundee is set in the beautiful countryside on the east coast of Scotland. It is the fourth largest city in Scotland and was recognized in 2014 as the UK’s first UNESCO City of Design.
- A key attraction is Dundee Law, an extinct volcano with a peak of 572 feet, you can walk up to the peak and have a great view of the city and its surroundings.

In designing shops, museums, courthouses, theatre sets or other interiors, designers use creative judgment and visual sensitivity as well as carefully resolving the practical aspects of a project. The course covers many areas including interiors, architecture, exhibitions, installation, furniture and digital. New ways of experiences space are emerging and how we dwell, work and play is undergoing profound change as people, spaces and technologies merge. Our programme will help you explore personal responses to these issues. You will develop spatial thinking through materials, objects and place-making projects and international design contexts.
