The University of Westminster dates back to 1838, when it was founded as the Royal Polytechnic Institution – one of the first polytechnics in the UK – and became the University of Westminster in 1992.

Westminster is one of the most international universities in the UK. In the 2021 THE World University rankings Westminster ranked 4th in the UK and 32nd globally for its international outlook.

Location

The University of Westminster is located in the heart of London, city ranked No.1 Academic City in the World.

Three of the university’s four campuses are located in Central London: Cavendish Campus, Marylebone Campus and Regent Campus. The fourth campus, Harrow Campus, is located in Harrow, north-west London. Its position in the city of London, allows the university to continue to build close connections with leading figures and organisations in the areas of business, information technology, politics and law.

  • Digital and Interactive Storytelling LAB MA

Digital and Interactive Storytelling LAB MA is a new and innovative course, designed for digital storytellers and shaped like a media LAB. The course delivers industry-level professional expertise in visual communication from photography to cinema journalism, interactive narratives and apps for change.

The course incorporates an agency media LAB approach to learning through knowledge sharing and project completion which is pragmatic.  The goal is the production of digital stories and, or interactive factual narrative. The method is through iteration and collaboration.
